Compassionate, person-centred counselling

Why consider counselling?
There are countless reasons why someone might decide to begin therapy. You may have noticed thoughts or feelings that are troubling or difficult to manage, or perhaps you're experiencing challenges in your relationships. Sometimes, the reason isn’t entirely clear -just a sense that something doesn’t feel right.
Counselling provides a safe, confidential space where you can explore your inner world without fear of judgement. It's a place to make sense of what you're feeling, to gain insight into patterns that may no longer serve you, and to begin the process of healing or change - at your own pace.
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Whether you're navigating a specific issue, feeling stuck, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, counselling can offer support, clarity, and connection.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply carrying more than you can hold alone, you're not expected to have all the answers before reaching out. Together, and always at your own pace, we can begin to explore what’s going on beneath the surface. Whether or not you have a clear reason for seeking therapy, I’m here to listen with empathy and help you make sense of your experience.
I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation. This is a chance for us both to consider whether we might work well together. Research shows that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in effective therapy - so I welcome any questions you may have. It’s essential that you find the right fit for you.
I have an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy. My professional background includes extensive experience in safeguarding children and young people, supporting young adults with substance use, and delivering trauma-informed substance use training to professionals.
I work with a wide range of concerns, and I have a particular interest in themes related to identity, relationships, sex, loss, and the deeper questions we face around meaning and existence.
If you're ready to take the first step, or simply curious, you're very welcome to get in touch.
